TOURIST VISAS
Art. 56 of Ecuadorian Human Mobility Law established that tourists are all those foreigners who arrives in the country in order to do touristic activities and they are prohibited to do labor activities.
T-3 Tourist Visa

When a foreigner enter at any Ecuadorian migratory control, people from countries who do not require a visa to enter the country will obtain a T3 stamp on their passport. This stamp is not a visa, although it allows to stay in Ecuador up to 90 days with the purpose of tourism activities.
Extension Visa

Foreigners who are in Ecuador as tourists with the type of T-3 visa, and wish to extend their visit in the country can apply for an extension visa for 90 more days.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs with the collaboration of the Ministry of the Interior through the Migration offices located throughout the Ecuadorian territory are authorized to issue this type of visa, upon presentation of some requirements.
